2026.2 | child of night

Por Zaiza Vaccarezza

at midnight
when the moon reaches its zenith
after the bells ring for the
third time the spell will be
broken
you will return to your weak
complexion and I'll finally see
you
for what you truly are
the argentian rays coming from
the mother of night
will cleanse this retched soul
that inhabits my flesh
with the soul purified
I'll finally see you for what
you are minuscule and
fearful
a trembling animal in the wind
abandoned by past lovers
and afraid of pure love
her rays will let me glowing
an ethereal shine that never quits
will I understand the weight
will I finally put on the mantle meant
for me?
as a disciple and follower of night
will I allow myself to take space
and shine unapologetically?
- open your eyes child
you're star-born
and meant to serve the cosmos!
oh mother of night
light that guides my ways
will you forgive this foolish child
that doesn't know how to
distinguish the worthy from
the unworthy
